Gapforce

Founded in 1989, Gapforce is an established tour operator specializing in student and youth travel programs. Offering a range of programs including group adventure travel, volunteer opportunities, marine conservation, and educational tours, Gapforce provides a variety of experiences for personal development and growth. Those looking to start a career as an expedition leader can spend three months training in Jungle Survival, Expedition Management, and Wilderness Medicine by registering for the Expedition Leadership Training Course.

All programs are age 18 and up.

Our programs exist in the sweet spot between fully structured and completely independent. A bit of freedom, in a semi-structured environment, serves as a great steppingstone for personal development. And so ultimately, anyone looking for either a hyper-independent experience or a totally structured environment might not find exactly what they're looking for. The ideal Gapforce participant is someone who is open minded and eager to step outside their comfort zone. Typically, between the ages of 18 and 22, first time and seasoned travelers are welcome alike. Our participants are mainly from the UK, US, and Europe. This allows for invaluable experience of additional cultural exchange while on our programs.
